Support Worker – Herston, Brisbane (High Hours Available)

Location: Herston, QLD
Hours: Up to 17 hours per day

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Support Worker to support a participant living in Herston who has a diagnosis of Schizophrenia. This is a high-support role requiring someone confident, calm, and knowledgeable in complex mental health support.

Due to the participant requiring up to 17 hours of support per day, there is flexibility in shifts and the opportunity for consistent, ongoing hours for the right worker(s).

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing one-on-one support in the home and community

• Supporting mental health stability, routine, and wellbeing

• Assisting with daily living activities

• Supporting community access and appointments

• Monitoring changes in presentation and following support plans

• Maintaining professional documentation and communication

Essential Requirements:

• Demonstrated experience supporting individuals with Schizophrenia

• Strong mental health knowledge and trauma-informed practice

• All relevant checks, including:

  • NDIS Worker Screening

  • Current Police Check

  • First Aid & CPR

• Ability to remain calm, consistent, and professional

• Reliable and able to commit to regular shifts
